Beginning Waltz starts Oct 25

Friday Social Dance Students
Students having fun at our Friday Social Dance classes.

Our 2019 Friday Social Dance classes continue with Beginning Waltz October 25 โ€” November 22 on Fridays, 6:00-7:00 p.m.

No partner is required for these fun, friendly 5-week sessions. Instructor Brennen Renteria will teach you all the basics plus a lot of fun moves you can show off on the dance floor.

Our Social Dance Classes build session by session, so students should plan to take all five classes. If you canโ€™t make it for the first class you can start week two, but after that the session is closed to new students. Single classes are $15 ($10 student/pro) or buy a 5-class card for $65 ($50 student/pro). If you are new to Glenwood Dance Studio try our new student offer โ€” 5 classes for $40!

All classes meet Fridays from either 6:00 โ€“ 7:00 p.m. Sign up one of three ways:

  1. Register at the studio when you come for class (please come 10 minutes early to do this)
  2. Sign up online by registering for the first class.
  3. Sign up on your phone with the Mindbody App.

This fall Joffrey Ballet dancer Aaron Renteria will be teaching our new Pointe class which will meet Saturdays from 2:00-3:00 pm.

  • The first four weeks of this class, September 7 โ€“ 28, will be a pre-pointe class that is open to all students and will focus on strengthening the muscles needed for point work.
  • The remainder of the class, October 5-December 14, will be done on pointe, and participation is by instructor permission only.

The pre-pointe class will give students a chance to prepare themselves for pointe work, but it will also give Aaron an opportunity to assess each studentโ€™s ability to go on pointe. If you are interested in taking the pointe classes you should attend the September pre-pointe classes so that Aaron can determine if you can join the pointe class.
